Handling Today’s Changing Data Privacy Landscape [Recording]

Businesses now collect and depend on voluminous data from their customers, data that is often private and sensitive. Because bad actors are constantly looking for opportunities to steal that data, some companies have mishandled that data, and the loss of that data has significant implications for consumers, governments and regulators have released ever more stringent data-privacy regulations worldwide that most organizations must now meet.

Compliance with these regulations can be onerous and complex – it is often difficult to know exactly which regulations even apply. But the failure to comply can lead to substantial fines and cause reputational damage in the event of a breach. What do you need to know and what steps do you need to take today to reduce those risk?

What will be covered

  • The changing landscape of data privacy
  • The current, most commonly regulations
  • What is the GDPR?
  • How does this affect your business?
  • What should you be doing today?
