Black Alliance for Educational Options

Black Alliance for Educational Options

Background

The mission of the Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) is to increase access to high quality education options for Black children by actively supporting transformational education reform initiatives and parental choice policies that empower low-income and working-class Black families.

Challenges

BAEO wanted to reduce organizational operating costs and capital spending.  As part of this initiative, BAEO planned a move to a new office space. More employees were working in different parts of the country, requiring complete access to documents and better communications. It was important that all their data be properly backed up, and that they have recovery options for all of their documents.

Solutions

Ease implemented a system to consolidate and centralize document sharing through cloud services for all employees to have full remote access. This reduced costs and improved communications within the organization. BAEO centralized their ongoing IT support with Ease Managed Services (EMS). Ease provided IT planning services, which resulted ways to further reduce capital spending and monthly operating costs.

Results

BAEO saved money and is now able to budget IT spending with predictable monthly costs. EMS tracks all of BAEO’s inventory, and now better plan for new desktop computers on an annual cycle. A full backup and disaster recovery system has been implemented for peace of mind in knowing that the business data is secure.
