Chief Executives Organization (CEO) is a nonprofit organization that represents 2,000 former members of YPO from around the globe who have distinguished themselves through excellence in leadership.

Challenge

CEO had initially worked with another vendor on its portal Web site for members. However, the site did not meet the goals of its members, and Ease stepped in and created a workable portal, ceo.org. Ease was also asked to develop an application enabling CEO to internally manage events and member enrollment and participation.

Solution

Ease Technologies conducted extensive interviews to fully understand the roles of the users and the goals they needed to reach to accomplish these business objectives. This consultative approach was the basis for creating a new Microsoft ASP.NET and SQL server-based portal Web site, CEOPassport, and a new application named CEOAgent to internally manage member information and events. CEOAgent was initially deployed to a staging server located in the Ease Technologies lab environment to begin client acceptance testing. Once this phase of testing was completed, Ease Technologies moved CEOAgent to the CEO production environment using the Wise application installer.

CEO now has a dynamic portal Web site that allows members to search for and view other members contact information, update their own profiles, and allow the organization to efficiently manage their global events.
